Good day everyone,

Thank you for the continued support and for reading our brief situational update today.

Tonightfs update is for the ongoing Japanese Part-Time classes that are currently in online mode.

Curriculum progress online

As we move into June, many classes are already making curriculum progress online, so we seek to clarify a few points on term progression.

The general rule is that, while we do not currently have hard timelines as to when a term will end by, we will seek to cover all the required chapters for the term, according to the curriculum, as well as provide a 30 hrs minimum base time, which is the standard number of hours per term.

As we started online classes, we did so with a carefully moderated pace, so as to give participants and our teachers sufficient time to adapt to the new learning system. Because of this, the time required to complete the current term may be extended. In which case, any extra time the school provides that exceeds the 30 hrs minimum base time will not incur any additional charges. (previous revision sessions held in May also do not incur any charges)

Under the current arrangement, [2 online sessions x 1.5 hrs] is roughly equal to [1 physical session x 2.5 hrs].

Not all content may be covered online, so if there is any affected content, we shall seek to postpone it to when physical sessions are held, which may require additional time to cover later on.

Regarding replacement classes

Since online classes move at a carefully moderated pace, each class may have progressed differently, even classes in the same batch.

After a month, as we build up experience, wefre starting to come together at a more uniform progression, similar to regular classes in school.

However, do note that as the online environment is different, there may still be some variation in progress between classes, and there are more stringent class size limitations, please understand that we cannot promise that replacement classes are available all the time, but we shall try our best to assist.

Time adjustments and going back to the regular pace in the near future

In coming weeks, wefll be observing and gradually adjust class timings to current work cycles as Singapore adopts new norms.

Wefll also be considering going back to a more regular 2.5 hr per session pace if possible.

Some classes have already adjusted their timings, so thanks to the students from those classes for accommodating.

Participants who have yet to join online classes or are not able to join

If you have yet to join us online, but is now able to, please get in touch with us.

It is never too late enquire, as we will check the class status for you and advise what steps can be taken.

We also seek to reassure those who are not able to join us online, that when physical classes resume, we will also assess your individual situation and advise you based on your needs.

A big thank you to all who have given us their support for during this online period!

We understand there are many limitations at the moment, but wefll definitely our best to maintain the quality of the lessons and improve step by step.
